The community is invited to come enjoy the sounds and stories of Christmas on Sunday, December 18 at the Burlington United Methodist Church. The Christmas spirit will be shared in three beautiful ways. Beginning at 4:30 pm, harpist Devanee Williams will present "Sharing of the Strings." Devanee, daughter of Dale and Roselle Williams, is a music major with an emphasis in harp performance at the University of Arkansas. Her harp solos will include some of her performance pieces along with Christmas songs. The BUMC children will share the traditional Christmas story through a delightful narrated nativity presentation. Adrienne Fleming, BUMC Christian Education Director who recently received her masters degree from Kansas University in theatre, will present a meaningful monologue about the gift of Christmas. Adrienne's presentation includes a representation of four different characters within the story that reflects the true meaning of Christmas. Refreshments will be served and the community is invited to celebrate Christmas at this meaningful program. BUMC is located at 207 South 6th Street, Burlington. A free will offering taken during the harp performance will help purchase gifts for a family in need.
